Well, it is time once again at the end of this month for the fundraising ride Will Bike 4 Food. I’m participating this year as I have 6 times in the past, raising money to help the Food Bank of Western Mass with its mission to alleviate hunger.

As a riding goal, I will try to beat my time from last year, which was 9 hours, 28 minutes. This should be doable, as the route is the same as it has been the previous 3 years. I have been training, making sure to include hill climbing in my various rides (details on those rides in upcoming posts).

My fundraising goal is $1200. As in the past, I will donate money myself that is based on how much others contribute to my ride. I will match every dollar that people give, up to a maximum of $2500. So if donations from others reach twice my goal, that will all get matched.

The ride is coming up in just 2.5 weeks, and I’ve got more training to do yet. If you are interested in donating, you can do so at my fundraising page here, or contact me about sending a check if that is preferred.

Stay tuned for tales of training! And thanks in advance for giving!
