I encountered one such heap on a walk, and was amused by the thin path cut through it.  It wasn&#8217;t really cut all the way through, nor all the way to the pavement, so you had to go up a bit, and through, and then up some more and down &#8211; kind of like a mountain pass:<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/seakingdom.net\/images\/snow\/snowpass2.jpg\" alt=\"Approaching the pass\" \/><br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/seakingdom.net\/images\/snow\/snowpass1.jpg\" alt=\"Closer...\" \/><br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/seakingdom.net\/images\/snow\/snowpass3.jpg\" alt=\"Looking up through the pass\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This weekend, much of that snow is gone, as we&#8217;ve had high temps in the 50&#8217;s all week.  I went for a walk through Florence to Look Park, and took a couple of pictures of a creek there among the melting snow:<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/seakingdom.net\/images\/snow\/creek1.jpg\" alt=\"Creek\" \/><br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/seakingdom.net\/images\/snow\/creek2.jpg\" alt=\"Creek again\" \/><br \/>\nThe pictures were taken from inside a tiny covered bridge for pedestrians.<\/p>\n<p>The batteries on the camera were going, so I didn&#8217;t get a picture of the covered bridge, but I did manage to get a picture of this sign in the park:<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/seakingdom.net\/images\/snow\/nodog.jpg\" alt=\"No dog\" \/><br \/>\nYes, they tell you not to throw your dog in the garbage can.
